DAY TO DAY PROGRAM
Day 1: Reykjavik – Ilulissat
You will have a morning departure from Reykjavik towards Ilulissat. Arriving around noon, Hotel Hvide Falks friendly staff will pick you up in the airport and take you to the hotel for check-in. In the afternoon you will meet our guide at the hotel for a briefing and historical city walk around town. Your program will include several days at leisure, and we recommend you to add on your optional excursions in advance to make sure availability, but you can also book excursion during the welcome meeting upon arrival.
Day 2: Day for optional excursions

For this second day we recommend you to add on some of our most popular excursions. The morning hike to the UNESCO area of Sermermiut – and the Midnight/evening cruise to the UNESCO icefjord.
The Sermermiut hike is one of the most beautiful hikes you will ever experience. Sure there are harder treks out there, with formidable views, but nothing quite like this. Towering icebergs floating by as we walk into the valley of Sermermiut. Not too long ago several Inuit settlements called this area their home, and its still possible to see some of their household remains. We will walk to the Kangia Icefiord, which came under UNESCO protection in 2004, a spectacular site.
It is said that it was an iceberg from this very glacier front that sank the Titanic. 10% of the entire ice spill that happens in Greenland, exits through this narrow straight and very few glaciers in the world produce more or bigger icebergs than this place.
In the evening you can choose to sail out and meet the icebergs on an Ice fjord Cruise. To sail amongst the giant icebergs gives a whole other perspective to the massiveness of these giant bodies of ice. It gets cold out on the ocean, so bring warm clothes, hat and gloves too.

Day 3: Ilulissat, Day for optional excursions
Breakfast at Hotel Hvide Falk.
You will have a chance to choose another full day tour today. We recommend our Diskobay Explorer tour, our waterfall hike or our tour to Paakitsoq if you are here on a Friday. On request, we can also offer day tours to the calving glacier Eqi or Disko Island. I you just want to do a short excursion then why not book a 3 hour kayaking excursion to the ice fjord or maybe a SUP tour.
Day 4: Ilulissat – Reykjavik
Breakfast at Hotel Hvide Falk. Early afternoon flight back to Reykjavik. The hotel staff will arrange transfer to the airport, kindly let them know about your departure time.
Our programme ends upon arrival to Iceland, but we will be happy to help you with arrangements in Iceland as well. We offer both hotels and excursions in Iceland on scheduled and private basis.
