DAY TO DAY PROGRAM
Day 1 – Late morning arrival and welcoming
We will start out the day with a welcoming snack and introduction to your activities and programme, meetings, food and accommodation.
You will start in our conference room situated in the Arctic House, with a splendid view over the harbour of Copenhagen. The conference room is fully equiped for you to get the most out of your time this morning and get ready for the activities later on today.
13.00 today’s first activity is a Go Boat Rally taking you around in the old canals of Copenhagen. Go Boats are enviromental friendly boats driven by batteries, so no air pollution nor any sound pollutions will be heard from the boat’s engine. Getting on board you will start out by having a lunch basket and some time to sail around on your own getting to know the harbour and canals. Keep your eyes open, it will help you, when you are about to do the next activity, which is a Go Boat-rally where you will have tasks to solve
16.00 We continue to the next part of your programme, which is a Gin tasting at Copenhagen Distilleries situated 1,5 km from where the Go Boat-rally ended. At the Gin Distillery, you will learn more about the history of Gin, how to make Gin and off course also taste the Gin.
We walk together for 1,5 km, where we pass the Freetown of Christiania, which is always worth a visit – your guide will share his knowledge about this very different place situated in the very heart of Copenhagen. Before the hippies in the early 1970’ties occupied this magical place, it was an abandoned military base.
18.00 The Gin tasting has ended and we continue on foot to the street food marked at Reffen
If the weather is nice, we will continue on foot to Copenhagen street food marked, where tables and a butler will be ready for us at this different and creative venue with a Southern European atmosphere. The walk is about 2 km long and along the walk you will pass some of Copenhagen’s oldest garden houses dating back to the early 1890’ties, when the workers from the factories in Copenhagen were able to get outside the city to get some fresh air and grow some veggies.
Upon arrival we will have a welcoming drink and the next two hours we will have ad libitum bear or wine. If you are lucky there will be a quiz after we have had dinner. What will happen next is totally up to you. If you want, you can add a visit to the hot tub or saunas to your programme. Situated a 10 minutes walk from the street food area, it is a fun way to continue your night.
